You can choose to visit bayside communities Sausalito and Tiburon, which are only about a 10-minute drive away. As Frank Lloyd Wright’s last masterpiece, it houses two performing arts theaters, a library, art galleries and conservation gardens. Only a five-minute drive in San Rafael, this cultural center is worth a visit.

Those looking for a little adrenaline fix, can visit Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo. It is the only park in the country that combines a wildlife park, theme park and oceanarium. You can ride thrilling roller coasters and learn and get close to exotic animals in this park that is 30 minutes away from Corte Madera.

It doesn’t matter whether you are a long-time resident or have never seen Marin County before; there are enough activities in the county to keep you entertained. And with San Francisco only 15 miles away, you’ll always have access to a rich source of art and culture.
