Barnes & Noble Corte Madera Announces Free Storytime Lineup for April
Members of Barnes & Noble Corte Madera’s FREE Kids Club are invited to the April lineup of free Storytime events for children and families, all designed to celebrate the joy of reading, creativity and fun. The events center around the popular children’s books The Pigeon Needs a Bath by author and illustrator Mo Willems and It’s an Orange Aardvark! by Michael Hall.
Details are as follows:
· The Pigeon Needs a Bath – On Saturday, April 5, at 11 a.m., stores nationwide will celebrate reading via a free event, for children ages 3 to 5, that will kick off with a reading of The Pigeon Needs a Bath by Mo Willems. The Pigeon needs a bath! Except, the Pigeon is not so sure about that. Besides, he took a bath last month! Maybe. It's going to take some serious convincing to get the Pigeon to take the plunge. Kids will enjoy coloring and drawing activities with beloved characters Pigeon, Elephant and Piggie, along with other fun surprises.
· It’s an Orange Aardvark! - On Thursday, April 24, at 11 a.m., stores across the country will host a free It’s an Orange Aardvark! Storytime, for children ages 4 to 8, featuring a reading of acclaimed New York Times-bestselling picture book creator Michael Hall’s funny and suspenseful book about colors, ants, aardvarks and rainbows. Coloring, drawing activities and other surprises will round out the fun.
